I think just rotten & broken, there's no evidence of chainsaw work.
No idea who the original builder was... I'm pretty happy with the singletrack & small bridges left on the trail, no plans to rebuild there... Cameron heights ravine is prime for shores though... |

when you're hiking up the service road just look for the pallets to the right, about 3/4 of the way up to the refinery fenceline... There's a shitty lil' climb to the trailhead, but its well worth it.
Unfortunately, most of the bridges & stunts are busted & unrideable. The trail along the fence from the elephant drop (1st stunt you'll see after the service rd.) to goldbar park is all good. Dont bother starting from goldbar, unless you like to hike/pedal alot. |

Yes, being bored & critical is a lame combination. I found the cure, change into a TLD kit & go for a lunch loop DH ride.

Theres a big difference between a 'road gap' and a 'trail gap'

The Demo 7 rides great, not the best bike to pedal, even with the FOX DHX's pro pedal on. as soon as you point it downhill, or off a drop, its at home. The rear smooths everything out, especially at high speed. I think the best setup is a RS Vivid rear shock & coil Totem up front, that'll be my '09 rig, the Demo 7 I with some upgrades. Never rode a Demo 8, supposed to be more DH specific geometry I believe. |
